What we do
A comprehensive virtual health and mental health center built around the patient.

01
Healthcare Navigation
At SCMA, our certified Sickle Cell Healthcare Navigators virtually stand by sickle cell patients during hospital visits for acute pain crises. We remain in touch throughout their hospital stay, providing the latest national guidelines and evidence-based resources.

02
Mental Health & Nutrition Support
We provide ongoing mental health and nutrition support groups for our members. These monthly circles address the emotional and physical toll of living with sickle cell disease, facilitated by our clinical team for both patients and caregivers.

—
03
Education & Advocacy Training
Our 10-week Navigator Certification and the Empowered Patient Training program teach patients and caregivers the skills to navigate timely medical intervention, leading to faster recovery and reduced hospital stays.

Community Outreach
Awareness events, hospital partnerships, and a growing newsletter keep the wider community informed. We partner with hospitals, pharma, and community organizations to expand navigator reach nationwide.
